Quiet there and Don't comment! is a phrase we associate with 'dictatorship and gagging' where freedom of speech is forbidden but i don't see that it is the case on this website.

Why my bother or whats my point? you might ask, well i use to think that there was a large football following in Nigeria who have there own views (mostly negative) on the state of football in our country and how the structure should be- how wrong can i be.

I recently watched the U20 Nigeria womens' football team perform incredibly well in Japan (they were unfortunate with some refereeing decisions) but failed against the USA team that specifically went a long way to plan & plot how to stop the Nigeria team which beat them in their last meeting, now this is what i call respect for the opposition.

Ok, lets get back to the focus of this post, how can we, the football fans- i.e. if there is any on this site, try to push forward a change in the structures of Nigeria football from the Grassroot through to the National Premier teams if we don't share our ideas for the elected powerbrokers to think & act positively for changes to facilitate better participations in world football. When you sit around most Nigerian football fans (90%), you hear them talk about the Arsenal, Chelsea, Man.U, Barcelona teams - to name a few- yet you don't hear nothing about teams like Eyimba, Shooting Stars or Kano Pillars, reason for this is because we just want to fold our arms, sulk and queitly complain on the state of our football culture & stadia instead of voicing our concerns through the right channels (that is why sites-meetnigerians.net-like this exit) .

Alright, let us remind ourselves of the MLS (American football/soccer league) or the J-league which, until recently, were unknown in world football - where most of the European football retirees now go to earn more money - were supported by the partnerships between the government, businesses and, most importantly, the people's voice for reasoning & change.

There are many Nigeria football talents wasting away in the wilderness through neglect & exploitations (read my last post on this site) but only you & I can effect the necessary change by planting the seed of change to reap the benefits of change. So what are you waiting for, over to the football house of senate -send your comments through this medium www.meetnigerians.net or www.sportacsventures.com in order for us to find another Jay Jay Okocha, Mikel Obi and our own Messi or Ronaldo in our football stadia. The senate is waiting for YOU!
